Week 11 Results

BUNDAMBA, Australia -- The Jagerbombers got the result they wanted tonight against the Rock's K.D. moving up into equal third place on the ladder. Just as importantly, it showed flashes of the kind of attacking team basketball it will need to beat The Mixtures, Westside Hustlers, and The Force down the road.

In one of the fastest paced games we've seen this season, the Jagerbombers' quick passing and fast break baskets were the difference as they coasted to a ten-point win (40-30). Again, point guard Cail Rayment orchestrated the assault and calmed the Jagerbombers at times, however it was his teammates, the silky forward/versatile utility Liam Crowson and the awkward Grant Fisher who provided excellent scoring inside and domination on the glass. Young guard Anthony Fisher also scored on numerous cherry picked layups.

The real story of tonight was the upset of the 2nd place Westside Hustlers (8-2) at the hands of the ageing, 6th place WildCats (5-5). What is really amazing is that the Wildcats were playing without point guard f@#kwit Ross Doolan. Perhaps they play better without him?

Didn't see any other games, but I'm assuming the round went something like this:

UPDATE! In other games...

Week 11:

» THE FORCE (9-1) 48 beat » COMETS (5-5) 23
» MIXTURES (8-1) 79 beat » NEW BOYS (0-10) 35
» WILDCATS (5-5) 57 somehow beat (convincingly!) » WESTSIDE HUSTLERS (8-2) 33
» ALL STARS (4-6) 38 lost » COUGARS (2-6) 40
» JAGERBOMBERS (7-3) 40 defeated » K.D (1-8) 30

So this means after 11 weeks... (unofficially):

1. The Force (10-1) Dominating smaller teams yet statistically, their defensive record is surprisingly not excellent
2. Mixtures (9-1) Game missing? i don't know, but they deserve to be here
3. Jagerbombers (8-3) Remaining dangerous, ready to pounce on the Mixtures and Force.
3. Westside Hustlers (8-3) Starting to slip without star players stepping up.
5. Wildcats (6-5) Quite a tall team, yet low scoring statistically, managed a win against the Hustlers.
6. Comets (5-6) Always a danger with the guy that looks like Turk from Scrubs.
7. All Stars (4-7) Surprising many teams with their athleticism.
8. Cougars (3-6) Lost two quality players this season and have not recovered.
9. K.D. (1-10) Rocky's boys are an erratic, physical bunch. Appalling fundamentals.
10. New Boys (0-11) Disappointing season, and getting dominated in the middle without their big man

i dont know goat. i played really ordinarily last night. my stat line would have been good, but my body wasn't really up to it. no matter how i prepare, i just cant seem to get into those 8 30 games. they weren't dee-ing up on me in the post (except to hack me over the shoulder for an un-called foul) and yet i had two left feet in the post. i just wasn't dominating like i have been.-limo

well i wanted to give you a mention so you would stop caning me.

you played alright, its just they were a quick team up and down the floor. They surprised me.

Tho if the game was called right, we would have won by 25+ like i said so.
